Start with attribution
Always know what text you are reading, which tradition it belongs to, and which translation or language is being shown. A passage without attribution can easily become misleading.
Scroll My Faith keeps the tradition, citation and text source visible for this reason.
Do not assume similar wording means identical belief
Two traditions may both use words like peace, truth, compassion or duty while giving those words different meanings. The surrounding theology, history and practice matter.
Move from quote to context
Short-form reading is useful for discovery, but serious understanding requires more. Read the surrounding chapter or section, consult reliable commentary, and notice the genre and historical setting.
Use curiosity rather than comparison scoring
The goal is not to decide which tradition has the best quote. A better question is: what is this passage trying to say within its own tradition, and why has it mattered to readers over time?
Use Scroll My Faith to move from reading about a topic to seeing passages from multiple traditions, one swipe at a time.
